This is one of those images in my head that’s been stuck in the painting queue. I took a photo of people flying kites on the Vendee coast in France a few summers ago and imagined the kite’s perspective of the world. Touching the top of the clouds, feeding the sun’s rays filtering through, and watching the waves reach the beach.

The kites’ colours are the same as my Work-Life Balance painting as they also reflect my family. We fly together.
