Workflow is a common business term that has retained popularity as many processes now become automated using technology. Whether it’s following a document approval path in an organisation or adjusting photos before posting to social media, the steps in the process define the workflow.

I consider these steps to be fundamental to my creative workflow; explore, paint, publish; repeat. Do you have yours?

I’ve used a simple three shape transformation (rectangle, triangle and circle) but I’m conscious that flow can be disrupted or manipulated by outside influences (lines and colour). This work was created with a palette knife that produces a rectangular paint impression I apply either horizontally or vertically only; a method I’ve grown very fond of lately.
