Flowers fascinate me. Their complexity, simplicity, colour and harmony with their surroundings are endlessly interchangeable. This painting was the start to a new series looking at flowers and the many ways that I can represent them. On this occasion, I chose blossom and broke it down to its basic elements of colour and placement and let the mind do the rest.
