A giant step for me. Holding the phone with one hand and painting with the other.

I’ve described this impasto technique on my social and web feeds but have never shown it. There are two scenes. Firstly, I used a wide square knife to coarsely put the oil paints onto the canvas and secondly, I swapped to my slimmer knife to work the paint into the impression of clouds.

The way I explained it to my family is just like a time-lapse of cloud formations. I change the shape of the clouds and then hit pause when I reach the shape and density that I’m happy with.
